ToloWim 부족은 봄에 사슴 사냥을 하는데, 이때 여자들은 불결한 존재로 여겨져 따로 생활하게 된다.

TolWim's tribe hunt the deer in springtime, the time when a woman is unclean

 

여자들과 상대하는게 지겨워진 Tolowim 부인은 언덕의 야생화를 보기위해 몰래 집에서 빠져나온다

Tolowim-woman that was boring to deal with women  went out the house to see a iris in the hills.

 

언덕으로 가던중 여자는 앉아 쉬게 되고, 거기서 한 검은 나비를 보게 된다.

after working for some time Tolowim-woman, out of breath, sat down to rest

there is a beutiful bufferfly.

 

여자는 이상하게도 나비에게 홀려 나비를 따라 어디론가 가게된다.

she followed the butterfly as if she were possessed by something

 

결국 그녀는 나비를 잡지못하고 지쳐 쓰러지게 된다.

eventually, she couldn't catch the butterfly and then she sank exhausted to the ground

 

그때 나비는 우아한 남자로 변하게 된다.

at the moment, the butterfly changed a graceful man

 

Tolowim 여자는 그 남자와 하룻밤을 보내고

together they passed the night.

 

그는 여자에게 같이 떠나자고 하였다.

he asked her "You wish to go with me"

 

 

여자는 남자를 따라 그의 땅으로 가려고 결심한다.

she determinded to go to the His land.

 

그의 땅으로 가기위해선 나비계곡을 건너야 하는데 이곳은 아주 위험한 곳이다.

They must cross the Velley of Butterflies to go Butterfly Man' land

 

그래서 여자는 그의 허리띠를 잡고 가기로 한다.

so, she held his girdle and walked.

 

그곳은 나비 천지였지만 Tolowm 여자는 허리띠에서 손을 놓지 않았다.

although the air of the valley seemed to be entirely filled with butterflies, she keeped her hands on the girdle.

 

그러나 그녀는 까마귀처럼 까맣게 빛나는 나비에게 홀려 손을 놓고 만다.

but she was possessed by the butterfly as the crow. and then she took one hand off the girdle.

 

결국 그녀는 수백 수천마리의 나비에게 홀려 두손을 모두 놓게 되고 버터플라이맨은 홀로 계곡을 빠져나간다.

eventually, she was possessed by a hundred, a thousand others. she let go her hold on Butterfly Man's girdle.

Butterfly Man Was gone.

 

그녀는 나체상태가 되서 이나비 저나비를 쫒다가 죽게된다.

 

she was naked.

she follewed One butterfly and then another, on and on, and died
